Stage set design for Boom Festival 2016

A co creative project - Stuart Griggs [ providing the art / design ] with Iain Dub [ intersecting design into build ], Artista jan [ airbrush work ] and Maria Papaspyrou [ conceptual content ]
The concept was based on Asian Shamanism . The main element was a 8 metre long Garuda. The symbol of primordial strength and protection for initiates journeying between states of consciousness. The side panels feature primal and archaic Asian symbols, references to the psychoactive medicines used in the shamanic traditions. The back part of the stage [ dj booth ] is the medicine drum, adorned with peacock feathers  - activating the primordial healing sound modality.
